Samsung brings NFTs to the TV

NFTs are definitely one of the central trends this year. This is also shown by a new announcement from Samsung. They want to jump on the hype of non-fungible tokens and give owners a new way to view their digital collectibles – beyond laptops and smartphones.

Similar to how you proudly hang classic analog art in your house, Samsung now wants to make this possible with their TVs. Samsung therefore says it is planning a TV range for 2022 on which the display of NFTs will be comprehensively supported.

“In 2022, Samsung is introducing the world’s first TV screen-based NFT explorer and marketplace aggregator, a groundbreaking platform that lets you browse, purchase, and display your favorite art – all in one place.”

However, the device is much more than just a framework for NFT art, it is both an NFT explorer and marketplace aggregator, all in one platform. Artists can share their art with potential buyers on this, enable previews, and view blockchain data.

A smart calibration feature on the TVs automatically adjusts the display settings to the creator’s preset values, so buyers can always be sure that their work looks pristine and the image quality matches the original. Mehr Informationen sind bislang nicht bekannt, sollen jedoch im Laufe des Januars noch bekanntgegeben werden.
