In the current time we realize more than ever that we need virtual alternatives. The Social VR, as it has been developed by Facebook for quite some time now, is going into the next round. Last week, the social media giant began inviting users to a closed alpha for Facebook Horizon.
The new project, which was announced last year at OC6, impresses with completely new possibilities. It is now possible to create your own worlds, interact with expressive and customizable avatars and experience a whole new social media feeling.

Facebook Horizon is Facebook’s attempt to transfer the parameters of social networks into the virtual world and continue to play a pioneering role on the Internet.
The project is to enter the beta phase before the end of this year. The start of this phase is expected in the coming weeks or months.
Participation in the alpha version, according to one participant, requires the signing of an NDA, as the version to be tested is an early phase of the project and will be further improved during the month.
As UploadVR reports, the wording of the Facebook invitations indicates a one-month trial period, with a beta version expected in April.
It is planned that Facebook will offer Horizon for both Oculus Quest and Oculus Rift.
