What we can learn from the culture of innovation at Nintendo – dpr #02/2020

Nintendo made interaction with video games as we know them today possible with its consoles. By developing personal game consoles, millions of people were able to bypass the arcade and experience the adventures of video game heroes in their own homes. This not only overcame barriers, but dramatically expanded the video game market. Other success stories, such as the Game Boy or Wii, followed on from these first steps and inspired competitors such as Sony or Microsoft to rise above themselves.

An insight into the specifics of Nintendos innovation culture can be found in my article in digital publishing report 02/2020.
