Alex, you’re taking over Futures Space’s social media accounts for March. Would you like to introduce yourself to the network?
My name is Alexander Pinker and I am a Future Strategist and Innovation-Profiler. For anyone wondering what that is. I, like the profilers in criminology, look for traces. However, I am looking for the traces of change.
In other words, I help companies not only to look into the next two years, but to understand the trends in technology and society for the next ten years. I am founder of “Alexander Pinker — Innovation-Profiling” and the “Medialist Innovation Group”, board member of the Startup Network SUN e.V. and founding member/Spacewalker on Futures Space. I also work as a lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt and am the author of a book on innovation in retail.
Futures Space is a collaborative network of futurists. Each brings their own focus and experience to the table. What are your topics?
My focus is especially on the empowerment of companies, employees and communities. Here in Germany there is sometimes an almost irrational fear of the future. But that need not be the case. In my work, I show people the advantages and disadvantages of trends such as artificial intelligence, augmented reality, virtual reality or robotics, thus giving them the opportunity to rationally decide what innovations really suit them.
In addition, I would like to go far beyond the strategic in my consulting. Due to my start-up background, as a board member of the Startup Network SUN e.V. I have a good impression of what the founders need and what advantages can be found in traditional companies. As an Innovation-Profiler, I look for the culturally and technologically matching partners and help them to craft the future as a team.
What can the network look forward to in the coming days?
I would like to take the Futures Space network on a journey through the technological future and help them to get an even better overview of the future in the form of articles, insights into my everyday life and informative videos and graphics, and to integrate this into their everyday life and projects.
