Adventure water slide and roller coaster – how virtual reality changes the experience

In Austria, the longest Virtual Reality water slide in the world has now opened. The Sonnentherme Lutzmannsburg with its Water Slide experience with Virtual Reality glasses goes on a course that other thermal baths and amusement parks have already taken. They give visitors access to a completely different era of the user experience.

Virtual Reality enables you to dream with your eyes open. This statement is descriptive of the possibilities offered by the new technology. Companies are not the only ones to use it to visualize their prototypes or to enable their customers to experience a new kind of gaming through a well thought-out game. Especially when movement comes into play, VR becomes a true adventure.

Amusement parks recognized this opportunity early on and expanded their rides with virtual reality experiences. Whether you are rescued by Superman or set off on an adventure with the park’s mascot, there are many variations.

In the Lutzmannsburg solar thermal spa, for example, bathers experience the slide ride as an astronaut exploring a world full of luminous planets and asteroids.

“You feel like you’re in a video game. Great emotions are definitely guaranteed during the entire trip and when you reach the landing basin.” – Werner Cerutti, Managing Director Sonnentherme Lutzmannsburg-Frankenau GmbH

These experiments with Virtual Reality are only the beginning. With the breakthrough of autonomous driving, such adventure tours are also becoming an option for the driver to fill long distances with new life. It is entirely up to the creativity of the developers to decide which adventure the user will be sent on next.
