Apple and Disney are talking about a collaboration for the new headset – a forecast of what this partnership could bring

Recent reports say that there are initial talks between Apple and Disney regarding the tech giant’s virtual reality or augmented reality glasses. While nothing has been finalized yet and neither company has announced anything more specific when asked, the collaboration between the two corporations would be an incredible opportunity to shape the future of entertainment and perhaps give immersive media just the boost it so desperately needs.

A thought experiment – Disney and Apple immersively united

Even though it’s still a little while until the Apple headset will finally hit the market, and even though nothing is known yet whether an exclusive partnership between the Mouse House and Apple would be possible, let’s venture a thought experiment on what all might be possible.

With the introduction of the new Apple headset in combination with an exclusive Disney app, users would be able to experience the Disney world in a whole new way. The headset would allow users to immerse themselves in the world of Disney characters and enjoy interactive experiences. By using augmented and virtual reality technology, Disney parks and attractions would be brought into the user’s own living room.

What would likely come from such a collaboration is access to a variety of interactive experiences, including movies, series, games and even virtual tours of the parks. Users could also perhaps, to add the metaverse to the equation, interact in real time with other Disney fans around the world, sharing and even virtually experiencing experiences together.

Such a partnership would be a great step toward the future of the entertainment experience, perhaps successfully demonstrating how technology and experiences can merge to create an unforgettable experience. Disney, whose core business is dreaming and experiencing, and Apple, which produces technology for our everyday lives, could be a true dream team in this regard. It will therefore be interesting to see whether such a partnership is likely to bear fruit and how things may progress with the Apple headset.
