3rd Munich Event Day – Digital Innovation (Keynote)

The event industry is experiencing a digital jolt. The topics of digital transformation and digital innovation are as essential for the organizers of trade fairs and conferences as they are for the other industries. They must constantly reinvent and develop themselves. Focus on the fair visitors and their added value.

The tools for digital change are manifold. But the essential steps have to be taken in order to keep filling the halls and event centres with visitors. Inspiration was given to the 3rd Munich Event Day, which presented its visitors, decision makers from event and event technology, with the possibilities of current event communication. Under the motto “High Tech versus High Touch – the guest counts”, visitors to the “Haus der Bayerischen Wirtschaft” were able to gain an insight into technological options and possible applications.

I was able to cover the high tech part in my function as project manager for multimedia and new technologies at GMM AG and on behalf of Medienberatung der Wirtschaft (MBW). The aim was to prepare the audience for the event industry of the future and to give them inspiration as to which direction the events can take today. All under the motto “Digital Innovation – Is the event industry ready for the future”.
