Remote Work became an important trend for the future of work during the pandemic. But collaboration in tools like Miro or Mural quickly became boring, as interaction and collaborative sharing took a back seat.
Spatial wants to change this and bring the workshop experience into the virtual world. Based on a selfie, an avatar is created that can be used to meet with other users in virtual spaces to talk or even work together.
In the app, which has recently become available not only on restricted devices and smartphones but also across platforms, one can draw, present and exchange ideas. This brings spatiality and networking back to virtual collaboration.
The beta version for PC headsets became available this month and a final version is scheduled for release later this summer. Use is possible in this cross-platform variant via the following headsets:
- HTC Vive
- Valve Index
- Windows Mixed Reality headsets
- Varjo
- Oculus Rift
- Oculus Rift S
Alternatively, users can access the virtual rooms via the app, which has been available since December.
With the latest update, users can even integrate their own rooms and environments to make the working atmosphere even more individual and unique.
The telepresence application is a path to the working world of tomorrow and can bring analog and virtual teams together even better in one place in the future.
