A few days ago, Virgin Galactic gave an official first look into the interior of her spaceship. Most recently, SpaceX has made a name for herself with the modern and future-oriented design of her space capsule. The Virgin Galactic team is now following suit and showing the cabin of their spaceship, which was designed for passenger flights to the stars.
In a announcement the company has announced that every aspect of the spacecraft is designed to optimize the passenger travel experience. Richard Branson, Virgin’s founder, has always put the customer experience at the heart of the company’s fifty-year history and is now doing so with Virgin Galactic:
“Somebody once said to me that Virgin Galactic’s spaceship was the first one to have been built from the inside out. And although there is a degree of poetic licence in that statement it contains a fundamental truth: we started with what we believed would be an optimal customer experience and then built the spaceship around it. We will continue with that ethos as we expand our fleet, build our operations and cement Virgin Galactic’s position as the Spaceline for Earth.”
From design to unique experiences, this is the mission with which Virgin launched its space program. The design is the focus of their spaceships, their space suits and their spaceport. The video gives us a first glimpse into the experience that awaits the astronauts on their journey with Virgin Galactic.

A focus on the essential. Detached from unnecessary stimulus satiation with simple elegance. This is probably the best way to describe the experience that Virgin Galactic and Richard Branson want to create. There will be a lot of competition on the way to the stars, but the focus on the customer experience is what distinguishes Virgin from many other companies and start-ups in the space industry.
