Professions of the future – which jobs will come in 2030? (Part 1)

The working world of the future will be a completely different one. With new technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality as well as the continuous digitalization of all industries, companies and their employees will face completely new challenges. In 2030, according to some forecasts, some job images as we know them today will be fully automated, at the same time new sectors and occupational fields will emerge for which we should prepare the next generation today.

Data Scientists and Data Detectives

Data is the oil of the 21st century. Through the networked devices and the continuous collection, curation and processing of information, we will have to handle 35 zetabytes of data by next year. However, there are many treasures hidden in these data sets that must first be discovered. Job profiles such as Data Scientist or Data Analyst are therefore more in demand than ever before. But if we want to go a little deeper, by 2030 there will also be occupational fields such as the data detective, who will search for small traces in the data that could have a major impact on the entire business field.

Cyber city planner

Our cities are becoming increasingly intelligent. Smart cities are becoming more and more likely due to the Internet of Things. But behind all the linked data and networks there has to be order. In a complex environment such as urban planning, you have to keep an eye on the big picture and understand the opportunities and challenges of the cyber future. This requires visionaries and planners who design processes extremely efficiently.

Augmented Reality Journey Builder

It is not only in the real world that an experienced architect is needed, but also in the virtually enriched environment an order is needed. We already have a flood of information that can be intensified by virtual content that can be projected directly into our field of vision. That’s why we need a curator who regulates the messages and keeps them within manageable limits.

These are just a few of the professions that will await us in the near future. In the next part, we look at the effects of edge computing, data flooding and automation on the professions.
